  Do You Know Any Hardcore Apostates?

  are there any very active apostates in your area?.

  i'm talking about the snarling, fire-breathing, district convention picketing, apostates that are an absolute nuisance to local congregations, and are very irritating thorns in the side of the watchtower society.. i don't know of any in my area but i've heard rumors of one group in particular that is well known and very active.

  if it's true i'd like to find out who they are.

  Faith vs Accurate Knowledge

  basing their doctrinal teaching of accurate knowledge from john17: 3 of the new world translation.

  however, other translation put the verse this way: and this is eternal life; to know thee, the only true god and jesus christ whom thou hast sent.

  Because of this doctrine Jehovah’s Witnesses are not truly baptized into Christ nor are they any longer baptized under the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit , but rather they are under the legal organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

  When you got baptized they use the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit so like all the other christain churches out their it is just a symbol with no substance. Other wise people who baptized others would have Holy Spirit to give you. I believe it was for a time when they performed miracles.

  Did you know that during Rutherford's time he wrote a book called "Jehovah" and the last chapter if you were ready to get baptized you had to admit that United Nations was Satan organization?

  Honestly can anyone say you know the person who baptized you and was he filled with holy spirit? Because I could not tell you who baptized me it was at one of those assemblies where everyone lined up. Is this right with the what the bible says! NO. The person who baptized had to have holy spirit.

  As far as accurate knowledge, it makes them feel as if they know hidden secrets that has been given to them and no one else knows the secrets. Its bull! Kind of like Free Masons who gives the secrets to the person who is being hood winked! Well If I was fair about it most religions think they are the ones who is going to give knowledge at due season. Read some commentaries.

  Got to make the in group think they know more! too bad the secrets are just foolish lies! .

  My sister might be starting a fade.

  over the past two months she has been emailing me jokes and stories that no jw would ever read.

  i ran into her this weekend and she was talking about what she was going to do on her birthday today.

  her language around me is also lightly "salted".

  i've been trying to figure this one out for awhile now, it's something i have let go and dealt with but i do have some questions regarding it now.

  when i was seven, i had an older jw female cousin who was thirteen who forced me into sexual activities.

  she used threat of bodily harm as her way of forcing this.

  This cousin also forced my younger sister who was five into sexual activities, which I did not find out about until we were both adult women.

  Sounds like she was a pediphile. Most pediphile are vicitims.

  Do you have other cousin? Most likely she acted out on your other cousins.

  How do you find these books? I downloaded this book because I want to read what people in the past stated about Russell's writings!

  I just hope it downloaded in the right place and not in my laptop!

  i would like to extend a big thankyou to those posting on the forum who are in fact helping to educate us all with explanations of the scriptures that we may not have previously considered.

  channel c is also good for this.. a christians life should be one of continual searching, testing, confirming as this leads to a deeper and firmer faith which can challenge firmly entrenched viewpoints.when i first started to study in 1966 i almost emptied my local library and spent ages in the british museum confirming my new found beliefs, this approach may well be frowned on now.

  has anyone done independant research on revelation and thrown in a few maverick comments at the group study, i found out some interesting info regarding the congregations and cities jesus addressed and included them in my answers.

  i'm doing some scrap-booking and it's getting harder and harder to find pictures of my kids i can put in their books without a jw reference.

  either it's been taken at an assembly, or a gathering (you know covered dish...bla.

  thing is they all have told me how they hate that they were brought up in that cult and how it's affected their lives so i don't want to bring any more reminders to them.

  Where's the Great Crowd?

  sorry if this has been discussed ad nauseum, but i'm at work and don't have time to search...i'm having a discussion (argument) with my jw hubby about the location of the great crowd.

  we've looked at rev.

  4 through 7 and he agrees with me that everything is in heaven "before the throne" until we get to the great crowd... does anyone have any easy-to-understand comments on this subject?

  I believe that the GC inherit the kingdom of the heavens and live in the city of new jerusalem where the 144k are also found in revelation , for the millenial reign . The difference to me is that the 144k die as martyrs and are the first resurrection then the second resurrection takes place after the millenial reign .

  So who are the 144k? are they people after Christ or before? Are the GC part of the first resurrection?

  I would like to know, do you believe that GC are going to be rewarded in the 1st resurrection or do they have to stand in front of Jesus at Judgement after the millenial reign? Are you going to be part of the Judged second resurrection or rewarded like Job 1 st resurrection?

  Your concept is very interesting!

  JW think they are marking people to rightousness if they take one takes the Watchtower, and if one does not take the mags off to judgement! Do you think one has the right to mark one to judgement or rightousness?
